Testimonials
Monica is the best art director with whom I've worked in more than 20 years in magazines. Her background in edit means she 'gets' editorial's needs, always has them in mind & is able to balance them against graphic needs like no other designer I know. She's hard-working, collaborative, patient, inventive, stays on an even keel no matter the pressure, & consistently gives us excellent, award-winning work. She's an absolute gem.

Of all NACS' [the National Association of College Stores'] publications, The College Store best reflects a positive image of the brand. It is a professional, sophisticated print magazine (also available online) with a first-rate design, pleasing, well-defined color palette, easy-to-read typeface and good photography. The magazine’s level of sophistication connotes that the organization that has originated the publication is modern, smart and successful.

When we at the Cleveland Ecumenical Institute for Religious Studies decided to cut printing costs by going to a new and different format, someone suggested we use Monica Doud as our designer.  We not only found her easy to work with, but she listened carefully to our ideas and delivered an excellent product that our alumni praised and counted on.  She was able to convert our course descriptions from a tri-fold brochure to poster and postcard formats.  We picked an image to highlight the theme of one of our courses, and she used It to make a very attractive advertising piece.  Most recently, she used a professional photograph from the Cleveland Museum of Art and followed the specifications of their authorization contract to the letter to make a truly outstanding poster and postcard.  Not only is Monica affordable, she is flexible with last minute changes and is always upbeat and personal.  We could not have made this change without her!

I am from the University of Minnesota Duluth and I would like to commend you on a job well done. I like the magazine (especially from a graphic design aspect) as that’s what I do. I look at layouts, etc. and base some of my work on information from your material. So, from my point of view, I think it’s great. Thank you for your time and for wanting to improve. Changes, for the most part, are good. Keep up the good work.
